Councillor Scott Raven has been brave enough to stand as a candidate for MP of Buckingham as an Independent against the Speaker in the 2017 General Election. As a former teacher and the son of an lifelong NHS nurse, he has knowledge of how our social services work first hand. His main policy focuses are education, health care, and housing. He vows to stand up against the cuts to local schools, ensure community health care services receive the support they need to remain open, and to work towards alternative options for new housing developments. He understands that new houses change the dynamic of whole villages and towns and put pressure on existing infrastructure. We need to find new realistic, alternative solutions.
