    Milton Keynes Council to build 1000s of new houses in our area?

    Milton Keynes Council have launched a consultation into proposals which could see thousands of houses built in our area. The development would be part of what they are calling 'MK Futures 2050'. You can find the full report here

    MK Council are holding consultation meetings in Newton Longville and Winslow but have done little to promote them so we are doing their job for them! Details as follows:

Peter has vast experience, having represented the Wingrave Ward of Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC) for twenty years.

    The new Buckinghamshire Unitary Council will be created in April, with an election for all 147 councillors on May 7. It replaces the existing County and District Councils and will cover all local services, from bin collections to social care and planning.

    The YouGov constituency estimate (December 10th) puts the Lib Dems in clear second place behind the Tories, with Labour in 3rd place, projected to get half the Lib Dems' vote share. There is no Green candidate.

    Lib Dem Stephen Dorrell's share of the vote is estimated at 28 %, the mid point in a range of 20% (lowest) to 37% (highest)

    My message to Labour voters living in Lib Dem/Tory marginal seats.

    Your vote can stop Boris Johnson on December 12th - but only if you vote tactically.

    I have been a Labour supporter all my life. I worked alongside Tony Blair in three election victories, and was Director of Communications under the last Labour Government. I worked for Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband in their campaigns. I will be voting Labour this time too, because where I live they are best placed to beat the Tories.

    So what are the tactical voting site recommendations for the Buckingham constituency?

    Jon Worth in his 2019 UK General Election Tactical Voting Guide recommend a vote for the Lib Dems' Stephen Dorrell, as the candidate best placed to defeat the Brexit-supporting Tory here.

    The site tactical.vote lists the five principal sites, and where there is a clear recommendation it is for our candidate Stephen Dorrell. Two sites, People's Vote and Best for Britain, opt for Stephen.

    This in turn has made air pollution - mostly caused by cars - one of the biggest causes of preventable illness in the UK, causing at least 40,000 premature deaths a year and costing the NHS £15 billion.
