  • Survey team Stone
    Article: Sep 15, 2021
    By John Eyres

Please join our survey team in Winslow this Saturday.

This Saturday September 18th, the Lib Dem knock & drop survey roadshow comes to Winslow. The town was first granted a royal charter by the infamous Offa of Mercia under the name Wineshauue in 792, which means Wine's Burial Mound.

Llew Monger held the previous district council seat for the Lib Dems until the Unitary Election in May, when he missed out by only 2 votes. It is a prime target area for us as we build towards the next general election, so your help would be greatly appreciated.

As it is our online party conference this weekend, we will start the session a bit later at 4 pm, deliver surveys until 6 pm, then return to collect completed ones between 6 and 7 pm.

    MiniVan code 36632289-95193.

Meet in the Car Park at Winslow Public Hall, Elmsfields Gate, MK18 3JG.

    Scrap the Tip Tax

Fly tipping is blighting our area.

Many residents have told the Lib Dem team that fly-tipping is on the rise. That's why we want to scrap tip fees brought in by the Conservatives.

Back our campaign to scrap the Tory tip tax and reduce fly tipping.

    WILL YOU SIGN?

    More Car Charging Points

Electric cars are on the rise. They can play an important role in protecting our environment and keeping our air clean.

Many electric car drivers struggle to find charging points. And many charging points are too slow.

Sign this petition if you want to see more charging points, and let us know where they are needed.

  • Petition: Jul 14, 2021

    Cyclepath from Haddenham to Thame.

A cycle path between Thame and the station in Haddenham is urgently needed. The A418 is a dangerous road for cyclists.

Haddenham and Thame Liberal Democrats have launched a campaign to get the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Councils to provide a safe, dedicated cycle route.

  • Petition: Jul 14, 2021

Buckingham Liberal Democrats are campaigning for Buckinghamshire Council to review speed limits.

We believe places such as Winslow, Wing, Newton Longville, Quainton, Edlesborough and Tingewick should have a 20mph speed limit.

A slower speed limit in select places would improve safety for pedestrians and other road users.

  • Aylesbury Spur EWR
    Article: May 1, 2021

The Buckingham Liberal Democrats have always supported the Aylesbury - East West Rail (EWR) link and the prospect of a new (or re-opened) station at Quainton.
We are deeply disappointed that the Aylesbury Link is in the balance and want to urge the Government to reconsider this decision and secure funding for this branch line.
Buckinghamshire Council have written to Transport Secretary Grant Shapps urging him to confirm government support and funding for the Aylesbury Spur of the East West Rail Project.
