Introducing your three candidates for the Buckingham West Ward

Liberal Democrat candidates standing in the Buckingham West ward for the Buckinghamshire Unitary Council election on May 6, 2021.

Buckingham West Ward includes the villages of Barton Hartshorn, Biddlesden, Buckingham - Fishers Field, Buckingham South, Chetwode, Gawcott, Hillesden, Preston Bissett, Radclive, Shalstone, Tingewick, Turweston, Water Stratford and Westbury.

Andrew, Sam and Howard all live in Buckingham and make a pledge that, if elected, they will stand up for your interests.

The Liberal Democrats are the largest opposition party on Buckinghamshire Council at the moment. A vote for Lib Dem candidates will strengthen your voice on the Council.

Buckingham West Candidates 2021

Sam Potts lives in Buckingham with his wife, who is a secondary school teacher, and daughter who goes to a local primary school. He runs his own first aid training business and has in the past run the St John Ambulance Cadets in Buckingham. He was a councillor on Milton Keynes Council and a cabinet member for health and social care. He is passionate about improving services for older people.

Andrew Pegg grew up in Buckingham and continues to live here. After attending school in Buckingham and Winslow, he is now a university student. He has a particular interest in youth services and in the development of our towns and villages.

Howard Osborne is an IT consultant specialising in improving software performance and live in Buckingham with his better half and daughter who goes to the local secondary school. Since the Government declared a climate emergency, Howard has been spending an increasing amount of time looking into how we can make sure our transport and planning policies are fit for purpose.
