Introducing your three candidates for the Bernwood Ward

Liberal Democrat candidates standing in the Bernwood ward for the Buckinghamshire Unitary Council election on May 6, 2021.
The Ward area includes Haddenham, Long Crendon, Chearsley, Shabbington, Ickford & Worminghall.

Jim, Heather-Joy and Steve are all firmly rooted in the local community and make a pledge that, if elected, they will stand up for your interests.

The Lib Dems are the only alternative to the Conservatives in our area. Labour and the Greens cannot win here.

Bernwood Candidates 2021

Jim was a police officer for 14 years, Before more recently moving to a management role in the Ambulance Service. He has lived in Haddenham since 2014 and plays a full part in village life. He has been a Parish Councillor since 2019 and is a director of a local estate management group. Jim is passionate about the arts and sits on the Haddenham Feast festival Committee.

Heather-Joy grew up in Harrow and moved to Aylesbury in 1984 and then Haddenham in 2019. She has 2 children currently at university and 2 kittens. A wheelchair user since 2001 she has a keen interest in accessibility for all as well as a professional interest in the prevention of food poverty. In her spare time she spins yarn, knits and sews.

Steve is a retired Lecturer in Computer Science, who now spends time as a community volunteer in Aylesbury and Waddesdon. He is a school governor and has been a governor and trustee for local community development organisations for 15 years. He lives in Waddesdon with his family
