Buckingham Constituency seeks Parliamentary Spokesperson

Buckingham Constituency seeks Parliamentary Spokesperson

In the forthcoming General Election we expect that the Party will observe the convention that the major parties do not oppose the re-election of the incumbent Speaker in their home constituency. We are seeking to change this situation but that is unlikely to happen before the Election. Meanwhile we need a spokesperson to present the LibDem view in the pre-Election campaign, which promises to be a focus of media attention.

We are advised that our selected spokesperson should be an approved candidate and will receive the same briefings and status as a PPC. For further information, including a constituency profile, please contact Chris Marriage, our returning officer,

or myself as chairman of the Buckingham Local Party.

Email: chris.marriage@btinternet.com or ian@metherell.info.

Call Ian Metherell on 07778 145011

Closing date for applications is November 23 2009;

and we have scheduled hustings for Thursday December 10.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Ian Metherell

Chairman

Buckingham Local Party
